About Finding Stillness - a Pause Practice
What is a Pause Practice?
The practice of pausing, regularly, several times a day, with the purpose of getting quiet, tuning in and paying attention to the thoughts, sensations, emotions and sounds within and around you.
A Pause Practice is a form of mindful meditation relaxation that helps to re-align and rebalance your nervous system when it is stressed. This practice helps to reconnect you to your own inner wisdom and guidance.

How is Finding Stillness offered?

The first daily text will arrive at 6.30 am GMT. You are encouraged to incorporate this Pause practice into your morning routine.
The second text will arrive at midday. You might use this to recalibrate in the middle of your workday. Or to reset yourself before bed.
There is no need to login to anything. Simply click the link and listen when convenient for you.
Too busy to Pause?
Finding Stillness Pause Practices are short…lasting between 1-3 minutes. While it is ideal that they are practiced seated in a quiet place, this is not always possible…especially now. (After all, who says that circumstances must be ideal for a practice? There is no point in practicing when life is perfect.)
This course encourages you to take Pause in a way that works for you. This may be in the bathroom with the door closed. Or in your car. Or in a moment in-between meetings when you push your chair away from your desk and face away from your laptop. Or in the middle of walking the dog.
Why 2x daily?
While a single moment of pause is wonderful, it is essential to pause several times a day to benefit our nervous systems…particularly when times are challenging. Every journey begins with a single step and Finding Stillness invites you to pause just twice a day. In time, you may find the practice calls you to stop more frequently. The daily meditations can be repeated if you wish to do this.
